Morocco triumphs in FIFA Arab Cup 2025
Following the final whistle, thousands of fans took to the streets in cities across the country, including Rabat, Casablanca, Kenitra, Fez, Tangier, and Tetouan, according to state media and local reports. Scenes of jubilation were reported in cafés, public squares, and fan zones screening the match, with revelers celebrating late into the night.
Morocco’s Arab Cup win adds to an impressive 2025 for the Atlas Lions, who also captured the African Nations Championship (CHAN) in August, co-hosted by Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda.
Individual accolades included midfielder Mohamed Rabii Harimat being named the tournament’s Best Player, Morocco goalkeeper El Mehdi Benabid voted Best Goalkeeper, and Jordan striker Ali Olwan finishing as top scorer with six goals.
The 11th edition of the FIFA Arab Cup was hosted by Qatar from December 1 to 18, featuring 16 national teams competing across the region.
