China sends fresh test satellite into space

(MENAFN) China has successfully placed a new experimental satellite into orbit, according to reports. The launch took place on Sunday at 4:55 p.m. Beijing time from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan Province, using a Long March-4C carrier rocket.

The spacecraft, named Shiyan-28B 02, reached its designated orbit as planned. Officials stated that its primary role will be to support research on the space environment and conduct related technological experiments.

This mission marked the 589th flight carried out by the Long March rocket series, continuing China’s expanding program of space exploration and scientific testing.
